Encourage One Another

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up,
just as in fact you are doing."
1 Thessalonians 5:11

Throughout the Bible there are repeated themes and messages for us. Today "encouragement" is on my mind. The Christian life is not a life of ease. It requires sacrifice, exercise, commitment, diligence, and strength. Oh, yes, the joys of relationship with Christ, the peace we gain from walking with him, and the gracious gift of salvation far outweigh the trials, but none the less, it is still a difficult journey. Therefore, we need each other. We need to encourage one another in the Lord. Through intercessory prayer, a note of encouragement, a text, a call, a hug... however you encourage, do it faithfully!
God First Friends has an idea to help us in our encouraging of one another, but we need your help. We need your favorite scriptures. We need the ones that carry you on difficult days, the ones that make you smile with delight, and the ones that speak deeply to your heart! Please post your favorite scriptures and then keep checking in. We will show you how your favorite verses will be used to encourage others!

"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called, "Today,"
so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness." Hebrews 3:13
