We Can't Understand

We cannot understand the great things He does, and to His miracles there is no end.
Job 9:10

Preceding this verse Job was describing the wonderful miracles of creation that God had performed.  He explains how God hung the stars exactly where He wanted them and that He controls the weather.  As He listed so many beautiful things God has done for the world and for us, God's amazing power starts to shine.  As the scriptures say all things are possible with God (Matt. 19:26), these verses prove that God is amazing and that He certainly can do anything He wants to do.  But what fascinates me is, behind the power to do all things God has a mind that knows all things.  Being an all knowing God magnifies His power even more because when He knows what's best in every situation then His answers are always the best.

This scripture means more to me than just the physical things God can do on earth.  This scripture speaks to the many people who are awaiting answers to prayer.  When we don't get the answers we want, it can be hard to understand.  But as this scripture points out, we cannot understand the great things He does.  Yes even when our answers come delayed or in a different form we can expect that they are great things because God knows best.  There is no end to His miracles because He will always know infinitely more than us!

If you have a prayer that hasn't been answered the way you wanted or if you are living a situation that seems to never get better, trust in your God Who knows everything and remind yourself that you will never understand how He works.  Grab a hold of trusting in His every move and watch His miracles take flight, in His timing.
