Our drive to Florida this year was filled with the sounds of the latest Disney movie, Frozen. In fact, if 2 rounds in the car wasn't enough we were blessed to watch it two more times in our condo. In the whole week we have been home this movie has been played 3 more times. My children are quoting the funniest lines and singing the cutest songs over and over because they can't get enough of it. So as I sit here praying about what to write for the blog, feeling God nudging me toward the importance of sharing our God moments, the song "Let it Go" is running through my mind.
My kids have shown me that when we love something and we replay it over and over it is bound to be shared. They have been filling their minds with this movie.........quotes, songs and visions, so much that they can't hold it in. The moving is fun. The movie is worth sharing, all day, to the point of exhaustion, but you see it doesn't annoy me because I see the fun in it and the way their eyes light up when they quote their favorite line or when they try their best to sing just like the movie. I respect their admiration for the characters in the movie and for the way it makes them smile.
Friends, God can do this for us! God's word can give us this same jolt of excitement. His work in our lives is so fun and exciting that we should be sharing it all day with everyone one encounter. Why aren't we singing our favorite praise songs throughout our day and why aren't we quoting our favorite scriptures? When something is important to us we should want to share it with people. If God is important to you and if He is touching your life, then you should be sharing those moments with your friends, family and coworkers. Don't be afraid to Let it Go for God. Don't hold back anymore! Share with the world what God is doing for you! Sing to your hearts content and quote your favorite promises that God has given to all of us!
And I keep praying that this faith we hold in common keeps showing up in the good things we do, and that people recognize Christ in all of it.
