The Scars

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
John 21:9

Friend, I want to ask you a serious question. Are you hurting today? Do you have wounds that bleed at the slightest touch? Does the shame of your sin cause you to hide from God and others? Do you have wounds caused by another that just won’t heal?

If you answered, “Yes” to any of these questions, then you need to seek His healing. Jesus’ wounds were deep. His hands and feet were pierced leaving gaping holes. But Jesus didn’t remain a wounded man. He went to the Father for healing. In the passage above, Jesus shows his scars to the disciples…no shame, no pain, no more bleeding. His scars were simply evidence of his story.

I don’t know what your pains are today. I don’t know where you are bleeding or how severely, but Jesus longs to touch you with his beautifully scarred hands and turn your wounds into scars. Scars that no longer bleed and cause you pain, but scars that represent grace, love, forgiveness and total restoration. Seek his face today by getting in your Bible and asking him to show you his fullness.

We’d love to pray with you, meet with you and guide you. And even now, though we don’t know you, rest assured that you are being lifted to our Father in prayer.

Dear Lord,
Many of our GFF’s are hurting. Their wounds bleed and need your healing touch. Give them the courage to come to you, to reach out to us or to another trusted friend, so that their healing can begin.
In your precious and holy name we pray, Amen and Amen
