Together We Can Be Amazing!

God meant for us to work together to accomplish His work on earth.  Christians should be joining in unity to bring others to a relationship with Christ.  There is no such thing as competition in God's eyes.  We are to be working as a team!  God gave us all different talents and blessed us with different skills and possessions and we are to be putting those together to make one large force for building the Kingdom of God.  While on earth we are not to sit idle and go about our life living selfishly and one sided but we should be joining with other christians all over, building up the faith.  We should be learning together and loving together leading to the day we all measure up to the complete standard of Christ.  The Holy Spirit is ours to use as a source of power and strength to accomplish all there is to do for The Lord.  This strength will build us up and hold us steadfast in our faith.  Together we can change the world and accomplish amazing things!     

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. 

Ephesians 4:11-16 

Dear God, please lead us to unity!  Instead of a life of competition bring us together to acknowledge each other's skills and possessions as gifts from you.  Gifts we should be sharing and using together to build up your kingdom on earth and in heaven.  Show us how we can unite and complete your work.  Give us opportunities to work together.  Reveal your dreams for us and the visions you have of us working together to accomplish your goals.  And then, Father God, let your Spirit take charge of our hearts and help us to fulfill your dreams and desires.  In Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen
