Christ's Authority In Your Life

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him.  This is the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms.  Now he is far above any ruler or power or leader or anything else - not only in this world but also in the world to come.  God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.
Ephesians 1:21 NLT

No matter who may seem to be in charge of your situation, Jesus rules over the outcome.  Jesus has complete control over your circumstances and He has a plan for everything that happens.  I know, you hear that all the time, but it's true.  Jesus is in charge!  No matter who you think has authority in your situation, be your doctor, the judge, your boss, a parent, or a caseworker,  Jesus has the final say!  Jesus has been placed in the highest position, He has the last word, working for His people and carrying out God's will.  You can speculate all you want.  You can worry over things you don't know are true.  You can try to guess how your problem will resolve.  You can see your storm and lose all hope of ever making it out alive because of the huge obstacles in your way.  But when you do all this, in the middle of such heartache and confusion, you are forgetting one very important thing......you cannot comprehend how God can possibly make your problem work for your good and how even the hard times can benefit you and someone's eternity.  You lose track of Who is in charge, of Who God placed at His right hand to have authority over all things and all people, far above any ruler or power or leader on earth.  When something bad happens that God allows, He knows that the good that can come from the bad outweighs the good that we think could have been had He not allowed it.  And this is something we may never fully understand.  It takes so much faith to trust God during these times!  But when we become believers we choose to live for eternity and that is where God lives and the perspective He uses when He makes any plan, and allows anything to happen.  This life is but a fraction of eternity!  The goal of all believers is to lead as many people to eternity as possible and sometimes that means tragedy, heartbreak and pain.

Friends, don't forget Who has the last word in your situation.  Trust that God is working for you and that Jesus has you on His heart working overtime to make things happen for your good.  Don't get caught up in the lies and the worry........just trust!  Praise God for giving you  Jesus Christ!  Pray to the Father to help you to trust in His promise of Christ's authority over your life!
