“and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”
Isaiah 61:3 NIV
Dear GFFs,
We have all found our lives in ashes, mourned, and felt despair. Yet we have a God who longs to make us whole through the birth, death, and resurrection of his one and only Son, Jesus Christ. We were tiny acorns and through it all, he is making us mighty oaks for the display of His splendor. Don't you just love that... He's using our messes to display his greatness.
This year I gave each of my GFFs an acorn ornament to remind them that God is making their stories beautiful and his name will be praised as he raises them to righteous oaks!
