Eyes Up!

Our eyes are so nearsighted. We can only see today, this very moment. And so, we need God’s perspective. He is beyond today looking back at us. He has already made a way! Whatever it is that has your heart bound up today, lay it down and keep moving forward toward your Savior. Eyes Up! Our joy is in knowing the end of the story; We know that we will meet Christ face to face in all his glory and splendor!

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so will we be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 NIV

We worry about our children, our spouses and friends. We wonder if we ourselves will ever overcome the doubts, fears, sins and bad habits that we just can’t seem to shake. But Eyes Up! God has promised us that ‘suddenly’ when Jesus returns we will be changed completely into His glory.

We shall not all fall asleep (in death), but we shall all be changed in a moment, the twinkling of an eye, at the (sound of the) last trumpet call.
1 Corinthians 15: 51-52 NIV

It is in the delay of God’s completed work that we grow stronger and our faith abounds. Keep praying. Keep praising. Know that He has heard and He will answer! Keep your eyes up today, GFF’s. Praise Him because he will complete this work in us. We are to plant seeds in our loved ones and those we come in contact with knowing God is responsible for the final outcome, not us! That is joy!

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 NIV

Joy In Christ’s name!     Amen
